Nominations are open for the first UK Autism Hero Awards. The Awards, organised by Anna Kennedy Online,  will aim to celebrate and showcase excellent practice within the autism community, while raising awareness of autism and promoting acceptance in society of people on the autistic spectrum.

“Autism offers so much diversity. There are several different organisations and individuals making outstanding achievements, and it is time these achievements are recognised. And what a better way than a dedicated event to celebrate their efforts”, says Anna Kennedy OBE.

A ceremony for the UK Autism Hero Awards, including a three-course meal and entertainment, will take place on 1 October at Amba Hotel, London. Tickets will be on sale at £50 each, or £450 for a table of ten. All proceeds received on the night will be donated to Anna Kennedy Online.

“We are looking forward to receiving all of the nominations, and we know that it will be a difficult choice selecting the finalists”, says Mrs Kennedy. “Celebrating and producing a positive perspective on autism is extremely important to us as a charity, and events such as the Autism Hero Awards create much needed awareness, funds and support.”

Nominations close on 30 June and finalists will be announced on 16 July. For information and to make a nomination, email:
