The barriers to formal music education faced by those with disabilities and SEN are being investigated by Drake Music. The charity has launched a consultation which it hopes will reveal the extent of the problem for some of the 1.7 million children and young people with special needs in England.
All those with an interest in music education and SEN and disability issues are being asked to respond to the consultation by the 2 November 2011, and the charity is planning to publish its findings by the end of the year.
