Free Olympics tickets for special schools

Special schools are being offered a free allocation of tickets to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games if they sign up to join the Games’ reward and recognition scheme, the Get Set network.

To join the network, schools need to demonstrate a commitment to the Olympic and Paralympic values, for example, by delivering school assemblies or whole school events based on Olympic and Paralympic ideals. To date, more than 380 special schools across the UK have signed up.

In addition to receiving a number of tickets to the Games for students aged 10 and over, schools joining the Get Set network also receive a plaque and certificate to mark their schools achievement, authority to use of the London 2012 education logo on the school sign, letterhead and website, and access to exclusive opportunities such as tours of the Olympic Park and visits from the London 2012 mascots.

The deadline for claiming ticket allocations is Friday 16 December 2011. To Join the Get Set network, schools should complete a short online application form, available at:
