Schools Minister Vernon Coaker has announced an £800 million package to fund the next phase of the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) initiative. The aim of the BSF program is to rebuild or renew all of England’s state secondary schools. Currently, 85 local authorities are involved in the programme, and 26 Local Education Partnerships have been formed to deliver school building projects in these areas.
Mr Coaker described BSF as “the most ambitious public building programme for decades, revamping the entire secondary school estate….This is great news for the local authorities included.”
