Schools from across the world are being invited to take part in a competition to find the best teacher in the universe. The winner will be unveiled on 5 October to coincide with World Teacher Day celebrations.
Run by Teachanywhere, the Feature my Teacher competition encourages classrooms to create a video, poem or a piece or art or literature highlighting why pupils believe their teacher is the best in the universe. Head judge, international artist Mark Dunlop, will mark entries based on originality, creativity and the reasons given by the pupils for nominating their teacher. The winner will be awarded with teaching resources to the value of £500.
Diane Jacoutot, General Manager of Teachanywhere, said: “World Teacher Day is celebrated annually and we really wanted to mark this momentous occasion. The competition has been created to both inspire pupils and to recognise the essential role that teachers play.”
Entries must be submitted by 28 September 2012. More information is available from: www.teachanywhere.com/worldteacherday
