An exhibition showcasing the art work of young people with autism is being held at London’s Unicorn Theatre. Running from Saturday 15 to Friday 21 October, the exhibition will feature work of finalists in the national Create! Art for Autism competition.

More than 350 entries were received from young people with autism and Asperger’s syndrome and the winners were announced at an awards ceremony in July.
Darren Jackson, Principal of the event’s organisers Beechwood College, said: “Through the competition we have been able to dispel the myth that young people with an autistic spectrum condition cannot be creative and moreover, we believe that engaging in art and creative activities can greatly improve their lives.”

The exhibition is free to attend and will be open from 9.30am to 6pm.
