Hundreds of thousands of young children are being invited to take part in next year’s Chatterbox Challenge, organised by children’s communication charity I CAN.
Now in its eleventh year, the annual educational event for nurseries, pre-schools, childminding and community groups for children aged 0 to five years aims to raise funds and awareness for the charity’s work with children who struggle with speech, language and communication.
Therapists and teachers have developed the singing, rhyming and action-based activities to support the Challenge’s 2012 theme, Kids in Motion: Get active and make chatter matter, which celebrates the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Chatterbox Challenge week is 1 – 7 February 2012. Most groups will be holding their events during this week, but events can also be organised for anytime throughout the year.
