Schools across the country are being asked to take part in an attempt to break the world record for the greatest number of people singing and signing a song at the same time. SignHealth, the healthcare charity for deaf people, is aiming to get as many schools and nurseries as possible singing and signing the popular 1970s hit “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony)” on February 9th 2011.
The charity has enlisted the support of song’s original performers, The New Seekers, who have recorded a new version of it especially for the occasion.
While attempting to land itself in the Guinness Book of World Records, the charity is also hoping to raise funds for their work to support deaf people.
