Pupils and teachers are being encouraged to wear their jeans to school on 7 October to support the annual Jeans for Genes campaign. As well as producing funds for the charity, the aim is to raise awareness of the 30,000 children who are born every ear with a genetic disorder.
Free educational resources are also available for schools, which include films, worksheets, discussion ideas and ready-made assemblies, as well as ideas on how to include the event in PSHE, science and genetics lessons.
