Early years and primary teachers are being recruited for work in schools in Kuwait. Teachanywhere, a Randstad Company, is arranging interviews in mid-April in London for a group of Kuwaiti schools using a unique approach to teaching.

English Playgroup is Kuwait’s largest provider of international Early Years and Primary education, and they use a “rotational teaching” model.

“In these schools, children as young as three have specialist teachers for numeracy, literacy and science and rotate between classrooms”, says Diane Jacoutot of Teachanywhere. “It’s like marmite – you either love it or hate it.  For teachers who love it, rotational teaching allows them to focus on the subjects they are most passionate about and to experiment with new ways of teaching their specialism.”

Teachers who work in Kuwait must meet strict Ministry of Education requirements. Candidates must have a PGCE for Primary or Bachelor of Education degree for primary ages and relevant experience.
